Tattershall Arms
specializes
in 16th Century firearms and tack. The firearms may also be used for
17th
C. reenactment. Each piece is hand crafted to tight specifications with
high
quality parts. Care has been also taken to make sure that the arms are
similar
in detail to original pieces. Tattershall Arms also fashions a number
of
different leather items such as sword hangers, scabbards and early
style
Highland shoes. We also carry a number of commercially made swords and
other
accoutrements.
Due to the current legal system and the probelms it causes at times, most of the arms are shipped without the touchhole being drilled. This is the responsibility of the purchaser. The spot for the placement of the hole will be marked for correct placement, however.
The owner (William Wilson), known in reenactment circles as Captain William Bowen, has been studying period military practices, military arms and gunsmithing for over 10 years. From this study has arisen Tattershall Arms.
In reenactment circles and in the SCA William portrays an Elizabethan Welsh gentleman who makes his living as a gunsmith and a master of fence. For ECW reenactment he portrays a Royalist Captain of a company of foot.

Shipping: Shipping costs are not included in the prices shown. In general it will cost approximately $20 to ship a sword ($25 to ship rapiers since they are oversize) and $50 or more to ship a firearm. If ordering only books or patterns send $4.50 for the first item and 50 cents for each additional item. Please email for a final price quote before sending in an order. The sample prices given are for shipping in the continental US. Currently we are only shipping to the continental US and Canada. Make all money orders and cashier's checks out to C.R. Designs. If you pay with a personal check, your order will be held for a minimum of two weeks for the check to clear. For speedy orders please pay with a money order. Arizona Residents must pay sales tax and West Virginia residents must pay sales tax on tents.To keep prices down, we do not take credit cards.
We take PayPal credit card payments. Because of the discount we offer on tents, we do not take paypal on tent orders. To make a paypal payment you may make it to gwylym@gmail.com. make sure to include a note that details what you are ordering.
In the event that a package is lost in shipping, it will take a minimum of 30 days to process a refund. This is due to paperwork needing to change hands and to make sure the package is definately lost. Proper paperwork will be sent to the buyer and the claim amount will go to the buyer.
Delivery of firearms can easily take up to six months depending on the model. Each piece is handcrafted with some parts being ordered (stock blank especially) when we recieve your check/money order. All sales are final.
